Binge eating is when you eat huge amounts of food either in a small amount of time or over an extended period of time, and you feel out of control over how much you are eating. You often eat past the point of feeling full, and are followed with feelings of guilt, shame and disgust.
Bulimia Nervosa is defined also by repeated episodes of binge eating excessive amounts of food (usually secretly), however, these binges are always followed by compensatory purging behaviours to get rid of the uncomfortable feelings and excess calories/food.
Anxiety is not necessarily a problem. It is a normal and often unavoidable part of daily living, and is your body’s natural response to stress. It is only when it is disproportionate to the situation that anxiety can be a problem.
Depression means different things to different people, and is experienced quite differently by everyone. It affects how you think, feel and behave. It is more than feelings of sadness, hopelessness and interferes in activities you previously enjoyed.
